Annotation The book contains black-and-white illustrations.
From The Critics Alfonso Barrera This is a well-written detailed textbook on the recent innovative ideas on the use of smaller hair grafts, especially the use of micro and minigrafts, patient selection, and technique. It is intended to help the novice surgeon interested in hair transplantation to get started and to give a few pearls to the experienced surgeon. The book was designed for the use and reference by all physicians interested in hair transplantation, especially dermatologists and plastic surgeons. The illustrations are fairly good, but some are a little too dark. The references are appropriate, although I would have included works by Carlos Uebel, the father of the use of micrografts and minigrafts to cover the entire area of baldness. A lot of practical and useful information is presented. This is an excellent book, concise but complete on the step-by-step approach to the patient with male pattern baldness, with a special emphasis on careful patient selection and valuable advice. There is finally a detailed description of the authors' technique and experience. I think should be part of the personal library of anyone doing hair transplantation.
